Up for grabs is a rare Omega Ranchero from 1959 ca. in a pink gold plated case. The Ranchero, was prdouced for a short period at the end of 1950s, following the aesthetic of the most famous Omegas watches of that period: the Speedmaster, the Seamaster and the Railmaster. Due to its poor commercial success, it was discontinued after few years. This Ranchero confiugration features an untouched white dial in mint conidtions that acquired a light egg shell patina, with the typical 3-9-12 arabic numerals which are applied on the dial, together with the hour markers and the omega logo. The broad arrow hands complete the setup. The radium material on the hands and on the hour markers is complete and intact, showing an intense yellow patina. The 36mm gold plated case is in fair conditions for its age. The gold plating is worn out on the lugs tip, on the sides in correspondence of the edge of the case back, and between the lugs. However, most of these spots are reasonably hidden when wearing the watch. The crown is worn out and makes difficult to wind the watch. I have a NOS flat feet yellow gold plated omega crown for this model, that I will ship with the watch if desired (please notice that the correct replacement crown would be pink gold plated). The glass is original, with the omega logo in the center. The movement seems in good esthetical conditions. The watch starts easily and keeps the charge. However a service may be needed to wear the watch on a regular basis.
