All brands have them… The time only, classic design, modest size… If this reference would have been from another brand it would have been called “Calatrava”… But since it is from Jaeger-LeCoultre it has no real model name. It is simply reference 20007!Or maybe T.W.O-triple-o-seven with a licence to be elegant!As you can see, the 20007 is a classic looking watch. Time only with a central seconds sweeping hand. Silver sunburst dial, black Ebony hands and index… Modest size – 34 mm in diameter. Very typical for its time – second half of the 1960’s.The 20007 belongs to the 20000-series with monocoque cases which were released around 1967.Even if the exterior is not very extravagant, they were marketed as waterproof, antimagnetic and shock protected.Surprisingly, all of the 20000-series were made in 18 carat gold, but only a few were offered in stainless steel.What differs with the 20000-series from many other watches from the late 1960’s is that all of them have manual movements and no date functionality – two of the big developments of wrist watches from the 1960’s.
