This watch’s dressy appeal is enhanced by its tank style rectangular stepped case, textured dial and texture integrated gold tone bracelet. This watch is in Minty condition with barely any signs of use. It was probably worn a few times and spent most of the time in a drawer. It has obviously been very well cared for and given the attention it deserves. Here are the details: Movement Elgin signed 17 Jewels Swiss mechanical winding movement that is clean, winds well and is keeping reasonably good time for a mechanical vintage watch. Service history is unknown though and, as with all vintage mechanical watches, a service is recommended to ensure the watch continues to work well. Case Elgin signed gold tone rectangular stepped case. There is no visible loss of plating on the case and light scratches that are visible only on magnification. The stainless steel case-back has a few scratches and the inscriptions are a little faded. The crown sits flush with the case and has no plating loss. The case is made in France. Crystal Crystal is clear with barely any scratches. Dial Gold textured Dial with applied gold non-numeric indices and gold hands. It is signed ELGIN and SWISS. The dial is clean with a couple of barely noticeable age spots as seen in the separately pictured dial. Bracelet Integrated gold tone bracelet with a textured design. The bracelet has no visible loss of plating or scratches. Buckle does show some scratches. I have included several pictures of the watch, movement and case. Please review these carefully as they are part of the description. Please note that all pictures are taken on the macro setting. This makes even the slightest imperfections, shadows during photography, and specks of dust appear much more prominent even though they are often not visible without magnification. It is extremely rare to find a vintage Swiss Elgin in this minty condition. Don’t let this get away. It will make a fine addition to your Vintage watch collection.
