This was extremely difficult to photograph due to the black face, and light reflections.... I wound this up, and it runs. Keeps time. It may need serviced and adjusted. Here is a fantastic 1950s Angelus 215 Chronograph with original black gilt dial and steel crown. The watch features a large screw back case that gives it a great sporty look. It comes with the shown band that is marked Stainless Steel. Forstner, Komfit, Patented USA The watch is in excellent condition. It is pre-owned, and if you take a magnifier and closely look at it, you can see a few very minor rubs and blemishes. To the naked eye it looks like new. Please study the photos closely. The crystal is not chipped or cracked. You will not find a much nicer pre-owned 215 than this.... The back of the watch is marked Angelus Acier Inoxydable, 280117. The watch band is in very good condition. It bends and moves as it should. If you hold it in the light just right, a few of the individual long sections have small dings. The band is fixed, not stretchable. According to the web, these were made from the late 19405 to mid 1950s. It has a 17 jewel movement. The web shows two diameters for this watch, 35mm and 38mm (1.378 & 1.496). So, I guess it depends on who is measuring, and where they measure from. Check out the photo for measurement.
