This is a very smart original high grade Silver Peerless / IWC Gentlemans pocket watch with the original white dial & case. The Cal 52 H6 high grade movement is marked Peerless under the balance along with the serial number, the case is then marked for CN Charles Nicholet who was the case maker for Shaufer & Co who where the UK importers for IWC and used the Peerless name for the watches. The watch also has the London import stamps for 1916 b as well as the CN sponser marks. This is a great watch and an example that is correct and original, not messed about with and a wonderful rare IWC pocket watch Its a good original watch in good working condition but has not been extensively tested as its sat in a box within an old collection for decades unused so will need a service and check over but at present seems to be working strongly and well with smooth winding and positive hand setting, a great original watch that has not been offered for sale before and comes from very long time ownership in a good collection that is now being slowly dispersed. Please not the dial has a chip at approx 7 Oclock which is not obvious and will fill/restore well but I wanted to bring it to attention, thanks. Size: approx 5 cm across. This watch used to be an IWC pocket watch. Original case was recycled, we restored original IWC movement and placed it in a modern case. It is very well preserved movement. Not much restoration was needed with this movement since it was preserved perfectly. You can see this clearly from provided photos. The process this watch went through is called marriage (hence the term, marriage watch). This wristwatch was made on a base of original Swiss IWC pocket watch movement. This pocket watch mechanism was modified into a wristwatch and placed in made to fit modern wrist watch movement case.
