I will begin the description wishing you all an happy 2024. To me, one of my new year (horological) resolutions was to slim down my collection even further so this week I will put up for sale a few watches that I have for a long time and that I was not planning on selling It really hurts to see them leave but I’m focusing my collection on more modern pieces. Despite that fact I really nourish and love a lot of the vintage watches I still have. That’s why that more important than the amount this auction might fetch is the hope that their new owners appreciate them as much as I do. Fingers crossed… All those watches are offered without reserve and this particular one is no exception This constellation is in IMPECCABLE condition. Period. On top of that I will include it’s original box that traces is origins from Bahrain. If you add the Arabic language on the day and date you really have here a rare combo According to the serial number this watch dates from 1968. I believe BEHBEHANI (the name you see on the box) still exists in the Middle East. If I’m not mistaken they used to still do, actually) retail several brands The dial is in mint condition. I actually can’t spot any flaws. Very little patina. It is really, really good. There’s not much left to say apart from telling you that this is 10x better in the steel than in the photos. It goes without saying that it is factory original There is Swiss Made at 6 o’clock. Being a non lume watch it will definitely age better than it’s otter siblings/references with lume The case is made of gold on steel. 35,2mm without crown and a magnificent wrist presence. I think the bezel is 14 carats gold but I’m basing that assumption on other exemplars of this reference that I saw online. It has some (expected) hairline scratches but nothing too deep. Once again, it matches the entire condition of the rest of the watch The medallion of the case-back is very crisp. You might see some dirt on the case and around the edges of the movement. It is, indeed, just dirt that will come off easily The movement is performing well specially taking into account it hasn’t been serviced for years. It is running between +1 and +19 seconds a day (dial up) and doesn’t show any signs of corrosion and very little marks on the screw heads. This watch is being sold not serviced The date and the quickset date are working properly. They are in Arabic. I personally find this detail delicious. The big plus for me is that not being able to understand Arab (please forgive me if I got the language wrong) makes me wear this watch without caring about changing the day and the date. Technically it is always right for me :) :) :) The crown and the the crystal are both signed and the original ones. If memory serves me this particular reference didn’t came with the usual constellation decagonal crowns. All other examples I saw online have this crown. I must just mention that the crown lost a part of the gold plating. The crystal, as already stated, has the little omega symbol etched in the middle No particular value on strap or buckle. When I bought this watch it came head + original box only To summarise it all, this Connie is absolutely spectacular and I’m pretty sure you will fall in love with it the second you put your eyes on it. Doigts croisés… Toutes ces montres sont proposées sans réserve et celle-ci ne fait pas exception. Cette constellation est dans un état IMPECCABLE. Point final. En plus de cela, j'inclurai sa boîte d'origine qui retrace ses origines au Bahreïn. Si vous ajoutez la langue arabe au jour et à la date, vous avez ici un combo rare D'après le numéro de série, cette montre date de 1968. Je crois que BEHBEHANI (le nom que vous voyez sur la boîte) existe toujours au Moyen-Orient. Si je ne me trompe pas, ils distribuent encore plusieurs marques Le cadran est en parfait état. En fait, je ne vois aucun défaut. Très peu de patine. C'est vraiment très bien. Il n'y a plus grand chose à dire à part vous dire que c'est 10 fois mieux en personne que sur les photos. Il va sans dire que tout est d’origine Il y a du Swiss Made à 6 heures. Étant une montre sans lume, elle vieillira certainement mieux que ses frères et sœurs/références avec lume. Le boîtier est en or sur acier. 35,2mm sans couronne et une magnifique présence au poignet. Je pense que la lunette est en or 14 carats mais je base cette hypothèse sur d'autres exemplaires de cette référence que j'ai vus en ligne. Il présente quelques rayures (attendues) mais rien de trop profond. Encore une fois, il correspond à l'état complet du reste de la montre Le médaillon du fond du boîtier est très net. Vous pourriez voir de la saleté sur le boîtier et sur les bords du mouvement. Il ne s'agit en effet que de saletés qui s'enlèveront facilement Le mouvement fonctionne bien, d’autant plus qu’il n’a pas été entretenu depuis des années. Il tourne entre +1 et +19 secondes par jour (cadran vers le haut) et ne présente aucun signe de corrosion et très peu de marques sur les têtes de vis. Cette montre est vendue non révisée La date et la date quickset fonctionnent correctement. Ils sont en arabe. Personnellement, je trouve ce détail délicieux. Le gros plus pour moi c'est que ne comprenant pas l'arabe (pardonnez-moi si je me suis trompé de langue) je porte cette montre sans prendre la tête de changer le jour et la date. Techniquement, c'est toujours bon pour moi :) :) :) La couronne et le verre sont tous deux signés et originaux. Si ma mémoire est bonne, cette référence particulière n’est pas accompagnée des couronnes décagonales habituelles des constellations. Tous les autres exemples que j'ai vus en ligne portent cette couronne. Je dois juste mentionner que la couronne a perdu une partie du plaquage or. Le verre, comme déjà indiqué, porte le petit symbole oméga gravé au milieu. Aucune valeur particulière sur la sangle ou la boucle. Quand j'ai acheté cette montre, elle est venue uniquement avec la boîte d'origine Pour résumer tout cela, cette Connie est absolument spectaculaire et je suis presque sûr que vous en tomberez amoureux dès que vous y poserez les yeux. Im pleased to offer this autowind watch from Omega - The flagship of the line - Constellation. The watch is in great condition for its years showing normal wear - the crown needs to be replaced and a light buff to remove light scratches to case and clasp. The Rose gold capped 2 tone case has light normal wear scratches. the gold observatory insert in place is sharp and in good shape. Watch is winding setting and seems to be keeping accurate time the last 24 hours...but Ive not had serviced or timed and always recommend for vintage watches. Case measures apprx 35mm x 40mm. Housed is the calibre 751, 27 million series 1968. The original bracelet is the rare reference 1068/527 ends - should fit up to an 8 wrist. Photos tell the rest.
