Here for your consideration is a superb, 18ct gold, Omega, circa 1944, open-faced pocket watch, with champagne enamel dial and manual wind up movement, complete with mottled brown leather travelling case/box with the retailers name Robert Stewart Jewellers Ltd, 75 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow.Please take time look at all 12 photos to fully appreciate the exquisite quality of workmanship in this fabulous Omega pocket watch. The mechanism is stamped Omega, Swiss, 17 jewels, 37.5T1 17P movement with the serial number 10,529077 dating the movement to somewhere between 1944-1947.A truly stunning piece of Georgian VI workmanship. The case is stamped 18K and 750 for 18ct gold, Omega, Fab-Suisse, Swiss made with the case serial number 9,441231 dating it to between the years 1935-1943.Considering this beautiful Omega pocket watch is approximately 77 years old its in excellent working condition. It does have some beautiful age-related 9ct gold patina/patination, tiny dents and dinks, commensurate with 77 years of age, but nothing unusual. They could be removed but we just think they add to the character/originality of this delightful, 18ct gold, pocket watch.
