These are original World War 2 pocket watches that were reconditioned by the MOD for use by the Royal Navy in their nuclear submarines. The standard dials were replaced by black non luminous dials as the luminous dial watches were unsuitable for use in submarines due to radiation. The dial is in very good condition, it has the hours in Arabic numerals with a sub seconds dial at six oclock. The base metal watch case is in good condition. The case with the British M.O.D. broad arrow symbol and issue number 29925 below the Royal Navy contract number. Also stamped NON-LUM. The Waltham 16S, 9 jewel movement is in very good condition and working order. The watch is stem wound and set. It is signed Waltham, USA, 16S, nine jewels, Adj.Temp & 3 POS.
